Autism Awareness Night

Autism Awareness Night was unbelievable, and we couldn’t have done with without everyone involved. What a successful Autism Awareness Night! 🫶🏻🧩

We were lucky enough to have Matt & Bob Saddler, and Mike Shields add port to the list of PJHL arenas Matt is making a stop at. We all were able to hear Matt’s gift as he sang our national anthem to start the game.

Captain Jordan Medeiros gifted Matt his very own sailors jersey to remember his stop in port Stanley. We hope to see him back again soon.

Thank you to Henry from Port Stanley Junior Sailors to drop the puck for us alongside Matt. He was able to work with coach Parker last season, and use hockey as a supportive & inclusive community here in port Stanley.

As always thank you to our very own Blair Ellery for his planning, coordination and MC for this special night. As well as all our amazing staff & volunteers that allow nights like this to happen.

To top it off, sailors fans you packed the barn, to show our guests what hockey in port is all about. With the boys pulling off a 7-1 win to the Petrolia Flyers!

We have so many photos and videos to share from last night, so be on the lookout this week, in feed & on stories!
